The house was built in 1889 by Mr. Possidónio de Castro, a monarchist who accompanied King D. Carlos’ carriage on horseback. The chalet has all the characteristics of noble houses of the time: high ceilings, plaster ceilings with moldings and wainscoting, a hipped roof and wooden plank floors. Outside, all windows and doors are new, in wood with double glazing, maintaining the original cut stonework.
