The Main House is decorated with azulejo tile panels from the early 20th century by the famous fresco painter José Tiago Basalisa. The land comprises dense forest, with various species including pine trees, cork oaks, chestnut trees, oak trees, laurels, and acacias, among others. On this land there is a neo-Gothic spring grotto, and it is said that Queen Amélia was a regular visitor for picnics in this woodland. The Quinta was owned by the Marquis of Pombal - hence its name - and by the Viscount of Monserrate, Sir Francis Cook (who commissioned the construction of the Monserrate Palace). The quinta is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has an outdoor swimming pool.

Easy access to Colares, Sintra’s historic center, the Sintra valley, 10 minutes from Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs beaches, and 25 minutes from access to the A16 and A5 motorways. It is also 45 minutes from Lisbon Airport and the city center.
