Arriving.

Velōa is at Lázaro Cárdenas 286, which is not near the Romantic Zone — it is in it. You come through an attended lobby and up by elevator to level ten, one floor below the penthouses and one flight below the roof. Nothing about getting home here involves a car. 1006 sits on the right-hand elevation of the building, in the same stack as the penthouse directly above it.

Cooking.

The kitchen is the part of this residence people underestimate from a photograph. One flight up is the roof: an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, a jacuzzi, a sun roof, cabanas and a lounge chair area. Below there is a spa, a gym, a bar area and an attended lobby. On level ten you are close enough to the roof that the amenities are part of the day rather than a decision.

Walking.

Cuale Island is two minutes on foot. Lázaro Cárdenas Park is four. Olas Altas is five, Los Muertos Beach six, the pier and the Malecón seven. Los Muertos Brewing, Yeo Sushi, SIAM and Bravos are inside a minute; La Dolce Vita, Freddy’s Toucan and the Pancake House two; Starbucks three. Which is the joke of having a kitchen this good — you will have to make yourself use it. Puerto Vallarta International Airport is fifteen minutes by car, with direct service to more than thirty cities across the United States and Canada.

Building.

Velōa is ninety-four residences over eleven levels, more than half already sold, from Grupo Solcon — among the most active developers in this city, with Vrede, Artee 378, Trópico 1371, Serdán, Loft 77 and the Kalm residences delivered, alongside Palmaré in 5 de Diciembre.
