Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains to the west and the Bay of Pollença to the east. It is one of the island’s most culturally intact towns, with a medieval street grid, a weekly Sunday market that has run for centuries, and a strong tradition in the visual arts. The town retains a year-round residential character that distinguishes it from the more resort-driven settlements along the coast.

The Sunday market on Plaça Major is the social anchor of the week. Celler La Parra and Il Giardino are established dining options in the town centre. Port de Pollença, roughly five kilometres away, offers waterfront restaurants and a sailing club. The Calvari steps lead to a hilltop chapel with views across the bay and the Tramuntana foothills.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, reachable by car in under an hour via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities, with journey times from the airport to Pollença of around 50 minutes by car. There is no rail connection to the town. The nearest ferry terminal for mainland Spain and Barcelona connections is in Palma.
