Section 7 is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It neighbours Section 4, Section 6, Section 8 and Section 52. The area consists of government offices, offices, shophouses and single-storey or double-storey bungalows. Most of the privately owned units’ tenure is leasehold, having roughly 50 years left as of 2013. The bungalows within the area vary widely in terms of land size, ranging from 4,000 sf to almost 10,000 sf; whereas price psf could range from RM320 to RM550, depending on location, condition of house, and a multitude of other factors. The area along with neighbouring Section 52 is comprised mostly of government buildings, such as Menara MBPJ, Jabatan Kimia, Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara, PJ Civic Hall, Section 7 Traffic Police Station, Section 7 Fire Station, to name a few. Section 7 is very busy throughout the day due also due to the fact that there are many banks within Section 7; banks such as Maybank, CIMB, Standard Chartered, Public Bank, Bank Islam, UOB, Hong Leong, RHB, Affin Bank, Eon Bank, AmBank, Bank Rakyat, HSBC, Al-Rajhi Bank, and Bank Simpanan Negara (BSN) all have branches within Section 7. Co-operative College of Malaysia also operates in the southern region of Section 7. Assunta Hospital is conveniently situated across the street in Section 3. In terms of public transport, there is the Taman Jaya LRT station which is situated in the adjacent Section 52, less than 1 kilometre away. There are also 5 bus stops located throughout Section 7. Section 7 is truly centrally located as Jalan Univeristi and Jalan Gasing is conveniently accessible, allowing for easy access to the rest of PJ. Highways such as the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Federal Highway are also easily accessed.
