Palma is the capital of Mallorca and the administrative and cultural centre of the Balearic Islands, a city of roughly 400,000 residents that carries genuine urban weight alongside its Mediterranean setting. The Old Town, where this property sits, is defined by its Gothic cathedral, Arab baths, Renaissance palaces, and a dense network of stone-paved streets that have accumulated layers of civic history over more than a thousand years. Palma Airport (PMI) sits approximately eight kilometres east of the city centre, roughly fifteen minutes by car or taxi, and operates direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with significantly expanded capacity from spring through autumn. The city has no high-speed rail connection to the Spanish mainland, making the airport the primary international gateway. Inter-island ferry services to Ibiza, Menorca, and Barcelona depart from the port adjacent to the Old Town.
