The Promenade des Anglais is the defining address of Nice, a four-kilometre seafront boulevard running directly along the Baie des Anges. Le Chantecler at the Hôtel Negresco, one of the coast’s most celebrated dining rooms, sits directly on the Promenade. The Musée Matisse and Musée d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain are both reachable within twenty minutes by car or bus.

Nice-Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately five kilometres west, reachable in under fifteen minutes by car or via the Lignes d’Azur tramway Line 2, which connects directly to the airport from the city centre. Nice-Ville station offers TGV services to Paris in around five and a half hours, and to Marseille in two and a half. Monaco is thirty minutes by train from Nice-Ville.
