The Golden Mile is Marbella’s most prestigious residential corridor, stretching approximately three kilometres along the N-340 coastal road between Marbella town centre and Puerto Banús. Established as a luxury address from the 1950s onwards, it became synonymous with high-profile ownership and discreet wealth, anchored by the Marbella Club Hotel and Puente Romano Beach Resort. The area is defined by mature gardens, gated estates, and a consistent architectural quality that distinguishes it from the broader Costa del Sol.

Day-to-day life centres on the beach clubs and restaurants of Puente Romano, including Nobu and Cipriani, alongside the Marbella Club’s dining terraces. The old town of Marbella, with its Plaza de los Naranjos and covered market, is a five-minute drive east. Puerto Banús marina, with its retail and restaurant offer, is equally close to the west.

Marbella is served by the AP-7 and A-7 coastal motorways, placing Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport approximately 55 kilometres east, around 40 to 45 minutes by car. Málaga city centre, with its AVE high-speed rail connections to Madrid (under two and a half hours) and Barcelona, is reachable in roughly the same journey time. A private helicopter transfer from the Golden Mile to Málaga Airport takes under 15 minutes.
