The Golden Mile is the stretch of coastline running between Marbella and Puerto Banús, long established as the most prestigious address on the Costa del Sol. Lined with grand private estates, five-star hotels including the Marbella Club and Puente Romano, and mature gardens that reach down toward the Mediterranean, it carries a reputation built over decades as a destination for European royalty, international business figures, and discerning second-home buyers. The scale is generous, the architecture confident, and the sea is rarely out of sight.

Puerto Banús is a ten-minute drive west, with its marina restaurants, designer boutiques, and beach clubs. Marbella’s old town and the Paseo Marítimo are roughly the same distance east. The Puente Romano beach club and Nobu restaurant are within the Golden Mile itself. Several of the Costa del Sol’s most established golf courses, including Aloha and Las Brisas in Nueva Andalucía, are under fifteen minutes by car.

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately 60 kilometres east, reached in around 45 minutes by car via the AP-7 toll motorway. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and several long-haul destinations. Marbella has no rail connection, so private car or taxi remains the standard mode of transport. The AP-7 also connects north toward Ronda and, via the A-7 coastal road, to Gibraltar in under an hour.
