Puerto Banús is Marbella’s most internationally recognised address, a purpose-built marina quarter that has defined luxury coastal living on the Costa del Sol since its inauguration in 1970. The harbour front is lined with superyachts and flanked by a continuous stretch of designer boutiques, from Gucci and Versace to Dolce & Gabbana, while the surrounding residential buildings sit directly above the water. The combination of year-round sunshine, mountain backdrop from the Sierra Blanca, and marina frontage gives this enclave a character that is difficult to replicate elsewhere on the Spanish coast.

Daily life here centres on the marina promenade. Restaurants including Nobu Marbella, Cipriani, and La Sala are within a short walk. The beach of Playa de Puerto Banús runs directly west of the port. Supercor and local markets on Avenida Julio Iglesias cover everyday shopping. The Golden Mile connecting Puerto Banús to central Marbella is a five-minute drive.

Marbella town centre is approximately eight kilometres east, reachable in under fifteen minutes by car via the A-7 coastal road. Málaga Airport, the main international hub for the Costa del Sol, is roughly sixty kilometres away and takes around forty-five minutes to drive. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and several long-haul destinations, making Puerto Banús genuinely practical for frequent international travellers.
