Marbella occupies a singular position on the Costa del Sol, combining a well-preserved historic old town with one of Europe’s most established luxury resort destinations. The Golden Mile, the stretch of coastline running west from the town centre toward Puerto Banús, has defined high-end residential living on the Mediterranean coast for decades. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately 60 kilometres east of Marbella, reachable in around 45 minutes by car, and operates direct routes to most major European cities as well as long-haul connections. The AP-7 motorway provides fast access along the coast in both directions. Málaga city, served by high-speed AVE rail connections to Madrid in under two hours, is the primary rail hub for the region.
