Marbella occupies a singular position on the Costa del Sol, combining a well-preserved Moorish old town with one of Europe’s most established luxury residential markets. The Golden Mile, the stretch of coastline running west from the town centre toward Puerto Banús, has defined high-end living on the Mediterranean for decades. It is a corridor of private estates, five-star hotels, and landmark addresses that has attracted international buyers consistently since the 1950s, and its reputation for discretion and quality remains intact.

Daily life on the Golden Mile centres on Puente Romano Beach Resort, Nobu Marbella, and Cipriani for dining. The Marbella Club Hotel and its beach club are within easy reach. Puerto Banús, with its marina, boutiques, and restaurants, is a ten-minute drive west. Marbella’s old town, with its Plaza de los Naranjos and covered market, is roughly the same distance east.

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately 55 kilometres from Marbella, a journey of around 45 minutes by car on the AP-7 toll road. The airport serves over 100 international destinations, with direct connections to London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and New York. Gibraltar Airport is roughly 75 kilometres to the west, offering an alternative gateway. There is no direct rail connection to Marbella, making private car or taxi the standard mode of arrival.
