The Golden Mile is the stretch of coastline running between Marbella and Puerto Banús, long established as the most prestigious address on the Costa del Sol. The corridor takes its name from the concentration of grand private estates, five-star hotels, and gated residential complexes that line both sides of the N-340 coastal road. It is home to the Marbella Club and Puente Romano hotels, and its residential character is defined by mature gardens, wide plots, and a consistent standard of architecture that sets it apart from the broader Marbella municipality.

Puerto Banús is roughly ten minutes by car, with its marina restaurants, El Corte Inglés, and the Aloha shopping centre. Marbella old town is in the opposite direction, also around ten minutes, giving access to the weekly market, the Orange Square, and restaurants including Skina and Messina. The beach clubs along the Golden Mile itself, among them Playa Padre and Trocadero Playa, are reachable on foot.

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is approximately 65 kilometres east along the AP-7 motorway, a journey of around 45 to 55 minutes by car depending on traffic. The AP-7 and the A-7 coastal road provide direct connections to Málaga city, Estepona, and Gibraltar to the west. Málaga airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and has connections to transatlantic hubs, making it the primary international gateway for residents on the Costa del Sol.
