Chullera is a quiet coastal enclave within the municipality of Manilva, positioned on the western edge of the Costa del Sol where the coastline begins its approach toward the Strait of Gibraltar. The area sits between Estepona to the northeast and Sotogrande to the southwest, occupying a stretch of Mediterranean shoreline that remains noticeably less developed than its better-known neighbours. The landscape is open, the horizon unobstructed, and the pace of life markedly unhurried compared to the resort towns on either side.

Estepona, approximately 15 kilometres northeast, offers the nearest concentration of restaurants, markets, and services, including the Mercado de Abastos and a well-regarded dining scene along its old town streets. Sotogrande, around 10 kilometres southwest, provides access to the marina, polo facilities, and the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. Puerto Banus and Marbella are reachable within 30 to 40 minutes by car.

The AP-7 motorway runs close to Chullera, connecting the area efficiently along the coast in both directions. Malaga Airport is approximately 80 kilometres to the northeast, around 55 to 65 minutes by car. Gibraltar Airport is roughly 25 kilometres to the southwest, making it a practical alternative for European connections. Jerez de la Frontera Airport adds a third option within approximately 90 minutes, broadening the range of direct international routes available to residents.
