La Turbie sits at roughly 480 metres above sea level on the Grande Corniche, directly above Monaco, and is defined by one of the most significant Roman monuments on the French Riviera: the Trophy of Augustus, built in 6 BC to mark Rome’s conquest of the Alpine tribes. The village retains its medieval core, with narrow stone lanes, a Baroque church, and unobstructed views across the Principality of Monaco and the Mediterranean below.

The village centre has a weekly market, a handful of restaurants including the well-regarded Hostellerie Jérôme, and basic daily provisions. Monaco’s Fontvieille district is roughly 10 minutes by car, giving access to the full range of the Principality’s dining, retail, and private banking infrastructure. Menton and its markets are around 20 minutes east.

Monaco is approximately 8 kilometres by road via the Grande Corniche or the A8 motorway junction at La Turbie, with journey times of 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is around 30 kilometres west, typically 35 to 45 minutes by car, with direct connections to most major European cities and intercontinental routes. The nearest TGV station is Nice-Ville, approximately 30 kilometres away.
