Villa Auf Ibiza

Dalt Vila is the fortified old town of Ibiza, rising above the harbour on a hill enclosed by 16th-century Renaissance walls that carry UNESCO World Heritage status. The streets within are narrow, stone-paved, and largely car-free, lined with whitewashed houses, medieval churches, and the remains of the old citadel. Living here places you inside one of the best-preserved fortified towns in the western Mediterranean, with views across the port and open sea that are unmatched anywhere on the island.

Daily life in Dalt Vila centres on the Portal de ses Taules entrance and the Plaza de Vila below, where restaurants including La Oliva and Caminito operate year-round. The covered market at Mercat Vell and the waterfront restaurants of Sa Penya and La Marina are a short walk downhill. The main commercial streets of Ibiza Town are within ten minutes on foot.

Ibiza Town is served by regular ferry connections to Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca from the port directly below Dalt Vila. Ibiza Airport is approximately seven kilometres from the old town, around fifteen minutes by car, with direct flights to most major European cities and year-round connections to Madrid and Barcelona. The island’s main road network is accessible within minutes of the lower town gates.
