Sea Escapes Studio is a remote Alaska House/Studio/Lodge for sale in Peterson Bay, on the South Shore of Kachemak Bay, directly
across from the Homer Spit. The property is in a separate little cove, with a unique and fantastic view of the Bay and Homer by day, and Homer lights
twinkling at night. The house has windows that are 11 feet x 5 feet to showcase the ’’Nature Channel’’ and it allows one to be fully immersed in the Kachemak Bay experience.

There are three main structures; the main house, the Studio with two guest bedrooms above,and a small guest cabin. There is decking that connects all buildings and provides a large seating area and outdoor dining space. The Studio is being used currently as a successful Fused Glass Studio. It is set up for Pottery as well as Painting and Drawing. It is an Artist’s Paradise, both a sanctuary and a wonderfully inspiring creative space. But we understand that not all people want a Studio so the space is also designed to be converted into a Kitchen and Gathering room for a potential BnB/ Retreat for paying guests.

The 3.84 acre property is surrounded by wilderness and privacy yet has direct line of sight Internet and electricity. It relies on rain catchment as its major water source with all buildings (metal roofed) catching water that leads directly into two 1500 gallons cisterns dedicated to the house and one 500 gallon cistern that is used for watering greenhouse/solarium plants. There is a 6 kilowatt diesel generator for back-up power for the few HEA outages that might occur. There are two indoor compost toilets, (one for the main house and one above the studio)
There is a working Mast and Boom on the Dock to lift heavy items from boats. There is 40’ of floats for boats moored directly in front of house. A John Deere Gator 4x6 is included with the property. There is an Outhouse and several handy outdoor storage units. The house and studio are both heated with Toyo stoves and each building has its own 300 gallon fuel oil storage tank. There are two standup freezers and one chest freezer as well as an outdoor second refrigerator for lots of local catch fish and food storage. Most of the furniture in the house and guest bedrooms is included. Outdoor Heavenly Barrel sauna and hot tub gives comfort after a good day of fishing!

Sea Escapes Studio is a unique opportunity to live in the wilderness yet is only about a 15 minute boat ride from Homer Harbor. It can be used as a wonderful destination for family and friends to visit and yet have their own space separate from the main house. It can continue as a glorious studio for artists as a teaching workshops/working studio opportunity to supply Homer Galleries. It can be set up for retreats, such as for yoga or meditation and can morph into a BnB for extra income. It has an incredible view of Mt Iliamna hovering over the ridge above Homer and fantastic sunsets. Fishing is, of course, very easy to get to......and wildlife is all around. Winters are quiet and warm and a cozy relief after busy summer fun. It has been a slice of Alaskan Paradise to anyone who has visited.
