A grand house in a beautiful setting was our brief, and we were delighted to find this beautiful home. The origins of the house were obscure, but we loved the Edwardian feel of the elevations, the pretty bay windows and the wisteria clad frontage all of which sat elegantly within its own plot. We have since substantially altered and added to the accommodation internally to create a more contemporary space to suit modern needs, adding the annexe and carport. The setting has always been beautiful with mature trees and a wonderful pond which feels more like a small lake and attracts the most incredible and varied wildlife. We have upgraded the framing of the house with formal gardens and a traditional English courtyard with Italian influences and purchased the paddock behind us which we enjoy as a wildlife meadow but would equally serve as a fine equestrian paddock.
