Estepona occupies a stretch of the Costa del Sol between Gibraltar and Marbella, and has built a reputation as one of the more considered towns on this coastline. Where much of the coast developed rapidly, Estepona retained its historic centre, its fishing port character, and a long sandy beach backed by a well-maintained promenade. The town draws buyers who want proximity to Marbella without the density, and the beachfront here remains one of the least built-out on the western Costa del Sol.

The beachfront promenade connects directly to Marbella and passes venues including Anantara By The Sea Beach Club and Azure Beach. Estepona’s old town, with its flower-lined streets and covered market, is a short drive. Puerto Banús is approximately 20 minutes east by car.

Estepona sits on the A-7 coastal road, with Marbella roughly 30 minutes east and Gibraltar around 45 minutes west. Málaga Airport, the main international hub for the Costa del Sol, is approximately one hour by car and operates direct routes to most major European cities year-round. The AP-7 toll motorway offers a faster alternative to the coastal road for longer journeys.
