Campos is a quiet agricultural municipality in the south of Mallorca, set on a flat, fertile plain that has shaped its character for centuries. The town retains a distinctly local identity, with a traditional market square, stone architecture, and a pace of life largely unchanged by mass tourism. Its position places it within easy reach of some of the island’s most unspoiled southern coastline, including the protected wetlands of the Salobrar de Campos and the long, shallow beaches of the Es Trenc natural area.

The weekly market in Campos runs on Thursdays and Saturdays. Sa Ràpita, roughly six kilometres south, offers waterfront restaurants and a small marina. Es Trenc beach, one of the few undeveloped stretches on the island, is under fifteen minutes by car. Santanyí, known for its Saturday market and restaurant scene, is approximately twenty minutes east.

Palma de Mallorca is around forty kilometres northwest of Campos, a drive of roughly forty to fifty minutes via the Ma-19. Palma Airport, the main international gateway for the Balearic Islands, handles direct connections to most major European cities and is approximately forty-five minutes from Campos by car. There is no direct rail link to Campos, making a car essential for daily use.
