Villa Campos

Campos is a rural municipality in the south of Mallorca, occupying a broad agricultural plain between the Serra de Tramuntana foothills and the island’s southern coastline. It retains a distinctly local character, with a compact historic centre built around the parish church of Sant Julià and traditional stone architecture that has changed little over generations. The surrounding landscape is defined by flat farmland, dry-stone walls, and salt flats, giving this part of the island a quieter, less developed identity than the resort-heavy southwest.

The town centre has a weekly market on Thursdays and a good range of everyday services including supermarkets, pharmacies, and local restaurants. Es Trenc, one of Mallorca’s most protected and least commercialised beaches, is roughly ten minutes by car. The towns of Santanyí and Llucmajor are both within twenty minutes, offering broader dining and shopping options.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 40 kilometres from Campos, a drive of around 35 to 40 minutes via the Ma-19 motorway. Palma Airport, one of Spain’s busiest international hubs with direct connections to most major European cities and year-round service to mainland Spain, is roughly the same distance. There is no direct rail connection to Campos, making a car essential for daily life in this part of the island.
