Großväter, Broughton

A lovely, five-bedroom, period family home that is full of character, set in about ½ acre of garden and lying off one of the most desirable lanes within The Test Valley.
Grandfathers is an attractive family home set in a quiet and private location on the southern edge of the village off a lane that is generally only used by local residents due to the ford at one end. The five-bedroom home is very pretty and has gorgeous symmetry on the front façade. It has a real “sense of arrival” and the first impressions are impressive. The feel of the interior is warm and nurturing with generous ceiling heights on all three floors for a Listed house dating back to the 1600s. The double-height hallway has high windows that allows natural light to flood in throughout the house. Both the dining room and sitting room are wonderful for entertaining and the sitting room has French doors leading out onto the south east-facing garden. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors and all the rooms are comfortable with lots of light. The garden is perfect for a family and for entertaining. There is a large flat lawn off the sitting room and directly off the kitchen is a charming terrace and pond. To the rear is a 600 year-old yew tree with yew, beech and box hedging that separate different areas of the garden.
