Villa Binissalem

Sencelles sits in the agricultural heartland of Mallorca, in the Pla de Mallorca plain that stretches across the centre of the island. This is traditional Mallorcan countryside: dry-stone walls, almond and carob groves, and working farmland that has changed little in character over centuries. The municipality is quiet and unhurried, with a strong sense of local identity, and it sits within easy reach of Binissalem, one of the island’s most respected wine-producing towns.

Binissalem, roughly five kilometres away, is the practical hub for daily life, with its weekly market, local restaurants, and the Bodega José L. Ferrer winery. Inca, the island’s main inland commercial centre, is around fifteen minutes by car and offers a broader range of shops, the Thursday leather market, and the Dijous Bo annual fair.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 25 kilometres from Sencelles, reachable in around 30 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Binissalem has a train station on the Palma to Inca line, providing a direct rail connection to Palma in roughly 35 minutes. Palma’s Son Sant Joan Airport is approximately 30 kilometres from the area and handles extensive year-round international traffic, with direct routes to most major European cities.
