Benahavís Villa

Benahavís is one of the most sought-after municipalities on the Costa del Sol, a hillside village set in the foothills of the Serranía de Ronda that has built a reputation as the address of choice for buyers who want privacy, altitude, and proximity to Marbella without the density of the coast. The Monte Mayor area within Benahavís is a low-density enclave of large private estates, characterised by rugged Mediterranean landscape, cork oak woodland, and long-range views across the coastline toward Gibraltar and North Africa.

Benahavís village itself is known for its concentration of restaurants along a single main street, with El Portalón and Los Abanicos among the most established. Puerto Banús is approximately 15 minutes by car, offering supermarkets, boutiques, and beach clubs. Marbella’s Golden Mile and old town are around 20 minutes. The area has no walkable amenities; a car is essential for daily life.

Marbella is roughly 20 kilometres from Benahavís, reachable in under 25 minutes via the A-7 coastal road or the AP-7 toll motorway. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, the main international hub for the region, is approximately 65 kilometres away and accessible in around 45 to 55 minutes by car. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and several long-haul destinations, making it practical for frequent international travel.
