Artà occupies the northeastern corner of Mallorca, a town of around 7,000 residents built on a hillside crowned by the fortified Sanctuary of Sant Salvador and the ruins of the Almudaina fortress. Artà sits approximately 75 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca, a drive of around one hour via the Ma-15. Bus services connect the town to Manacor and Palma, though most residents rely on a car for daily use. Palma Airport, the island’s main international hub, handles direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with significantly expanded capacity during the summer schedule. The airport is reachable in roughly 55 to 65 minutes from Artà depending on traffic.
