Antibes occupies a singular position on the Côte d’Azur, sitting between Cannes and Nice with a character that is more grounded and historically layered than either. The old town, enclosed by Vauban-designed ramparts that drop directly into the Mediterranean, has the density and texture of a genuinely lived-in place. The weekly and daily markets, the narrow streets of the Vieil Antibes, and the working port give the city a credibility that purely resort-oriented neighbours lack.

The Marché Provençal on Cours Masséna runs six mornings a week and anchors daily life in the old town. Restaurant Le Vauban and Chez Olive are reliable local addresses. The Cap d’Antibes peninsula, a short drive south, offers some of the most protected and prestigious residential addresses on the entire Riviera.

Antibes train station connects directly to Nice in around 25 minutes and to Cannes in under 15 minutes, with frequent TGV services accessible via Nice-Ville. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres away, reachable in 20 to 30 minutes by car or via a combination of train and shuttle, and serves a wide network of European and international routes year-round.
