Saint-Raphaël sits at the western edge of the Esterel massif on the Var coast, where the deep red porphyry rock of the hills meets the Mediterranean. The town has been a destination since the Belle Époque, when the railway brought Parisian society south, and its architectural legacy from that period remains visible along the seafront and in the older residential quarters. The Anthéor sector, set within the Esterel, offers a more secluded character, with properties positioned above a coastline of calanques and clear water.

Daily life in the Anthéor area centres on the village of Agay, five minutes by car, which has a supermarket, bakery, and waterfront restaurants. Saint-Raphaël town centre, roughly fifteen minutes away, offers the covered market on Place Victor Hugo, the port, and a broader range of dining and retail. The Esterel Massif, a protected natural area, provides direct access to hiking and coastal paths.

Saint-Raphaël has a mainline TGV station with direct services to Paris in approximately three hours and connections along the Côte d’Azur to Cannes and Nice in under an hour. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 60 kilometres east, reachable in around one hour by car depending on traffic. The A8 motorway provides access to Marseille to the west and Monaco to the east.
