Located in the town of Almagro, Ciudad Real, the third most visited tourist destination in Castilla la Mancha, awarded Best Tourist Destination 2017 at Fitur, home to the International Classical Theatre Festival, and declared a Historic Ensemble.

Casa Rural Las Caleras is situated in the center of an olive grove estate (400 Picual variety olive trees with irrigation system), covering 3.5 hectares, plus an adjacent 1.5-hectare plot across the Camino de la Dehesa de Córdoba, parallel to the CM 412 road, two kilometers from the Ciudad Real highway, and less than two hours by car from Madrid (50 minutes by high-speed train, and only 15 minutes from Ciudad Real to Almagro).

The estate is on a plateau about four meters above the town, offering excellent views of the historic center and some monuments. It has electricity with enough power for the entire complex, running water from two old wells with automatic systems, pumping and water softening equipment, and sewage connected to the town network.

The architectural complex began as a farmhouse in the 1940s to serve the adjacent orchard. It has been improved over the years and recently underwent a full renovation in 2016 to serve as rural tourist accommodation.

The complex is officially registered, free of charges, and authorized by the Tourism Department to operate with a 4-green-star rating and 28 beds.

Currently, it consists of five lodging units (4 apartments + 1 house) arranged around an open courtyard with two large Manchegan-style porches. It features a large round concrete and tile pool with a filtration system.

One apartment includes a spacious lounge with capacity for over 50 people.

The complex is surrounded by a lush pine forest and grassy areas.

The National Theatre Museum and Almagro’s Main Square are 900 meters away, the Old University 700 meters, and the town center is a five-minute walk, ten minutes to the square.

- Main House: An old restored farmhouse with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, small sitting room, and kitchen. Spacious and comfortable, it accommodates 6 people (expandable to 8 with two extra beds and/or baby cots). The house exudes tradition and originality: clay floors, cane and lime ceilings, wooden doors, and rammed earth walls offer an authentic rural home without sacrificing modern comforts. Almagro is at your feet; a five-minute walk takes you to the Old University, and just down the street is the National Theatre Museum and the Main Square. The house has direct access to the fig tree patio, main porch, and pool terrace. Rest is guaranteed.

- La Empedrada: Formerly used for agricultural work, now a small two-bedroom house with integrated living room-kitchen and bathroom with shower. The floor is original cobblestone where work was done. A small rammed earth fortress to enjoy the Manchegan countryside. Located in the open fig tree patio with access to porches, pool, and barbecue area. Accommodates four people (expandable to 5 with extra bed and/or baby cot). The kitchen is equipped, and linens and towels are provided. The center of Almagro is a five-minute walk, the square and Corral ten minutes. Surrounded by olives, pines, and fertile land. Loved by all our guests.

- El Palomar: The estate used this space to raise pigeons as extra agricultural income. Now renovated into a charming loft for couples (extra bed or cot possible). The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs; the living room and kitchen (equipped) are downstairs. Five minutes’ walk to the center, ten to the Main Square. Direct access to the main porch and fig tree patio. Enjoy the surroundings, pool, and pine grove. Parking inside the estate is free. A delight for visitors who can ”nest” in this charming dovecote.

- La del Porche: Comfortable and functional attic apartment on the ground floor with living room-kitchen (equipped) and two double bedrooms each with private bathroom. Capacity for 4-6 people (expandable with extra bed). Large outdoor porch with furniture next to the pool and fig tree patio. Outdoor area with parking, playground, barbecue, etc. Ten minutes’ walk to Almagro’s square.

- Casa de los Olivos: Comfortable and functional attic apartment on the ground floor with a majestic living room-kitchen of nearly 50 m² (equipped), two double bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Capacity for 4-6 people (expandable with extra bed). Large outdoor porch with furniture near the entrance, overlooking the estate’s olive grove and access to the fig tree patio. Outdoor area with parking, playground, barbecue, etc. Ten minutes’ walk to the square.
