Alaró is a traditional Mallorcan village set at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along the island’s northwest spine and carries UNESCO World Heritage status. The village retains a genuinely local character, with its medieval street grid, stone architecture, and weekly market unchanged by the tourism pressures that have reshaped much of the island’s coast. Above the village, the ruins of Castell d’Alaró occupy a dramatic limestone outcrop, defining the skyline and the identity of the place.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly 35 kilometres away, a journey of under 40 minutes, and operates direct routes to most major European cities year-round, with significantly expanded connections from spring through autumn. Consell and Santa María del Camí both have rail stations on the Palma to Inca line, placing the capital within a 40-minute train journey.
