Alaró is a small inland town in the Raiguer region of Mallorca, set at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The town is defined by its medieval street pattern, stone architecture, and the dramatic silhouette of the Castell d’Alaró, a ruined fortress perched on a sheer limestone outcrop above the valley. Alaró sits close to the Ma-13 motorway, giving straightforward road access to Palma and the rest of the island. Palma de Mallorca Airport is roughly 30 kilometres away, approximately 30 to 35 minutes by car. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections during the summer season. There is no rail connection to Alaró directly, though the Palma to Inca line runs through nearby Consell and Binissalem.
