We bought a house at Benguela Cove in 2010, and in 2013 we bought the estate. Someone else had started it. There were vineyards, a small tasting room and a handful of homes, and no cellar, no restaurant, no winery and no shop. In 2017 we built all of it at once, and I ran that build on site: the winery, the tasting room, the shop and gallery, Moody Lagoon, the adventure golf, the agricultural buildings and the welfare facilities for the people who farm here. Almost everything you see when you arrive, we put there.
I sell the remaining homesites myself, and I would rather walk them with you than send you a brochure. After thirteen years on this ground I can tell you where the light falls on each site through the year, what the wind does, which plots suit which kind of house and where the best of the view is held.
As the developer of Benguela Cove, I am passionate about this property, and I believe without doubt that this estate is one of the best places to live in the world.
