This is a particularly attractive specification of the air-cooled 993-generation 911, pairing Porsche’s 3.6-liter M64 flat-six with VarioRam with a six-speed manual transaxle and rear-wheel drive. Factory output was rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The 993 Targa is especially distinctive for its power-operated lifting and sliding glass roof, which replaced the removable roof panel used on earlier Targas while retaining the open-air character of the model. This example also features the Targa-specific 17-inch two-piece wheels, the characteristic fixed rear ’basket handle’ spoiler, headlight washers, fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets.
