Stirling Moss won the Mille Miglia of 1955 with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with start number 722. This is where the name ’722 Edition’ comes from. It’s a special edition of the iconic SLR McLaren that was introduced in 2004. Only 150 examples of the 722 Edition were ever produced.

The electronic black box of the hand-built 5,5-litre supercharged V8 is reprogrammed to yield an output go 650 horsepower and a torque of 800 Nm at 4.000 rpm. This is 24 hp and 40 Nm more than the standard SLR McLaren. Consequently, 100 km/h can be reached in 3,6 seconds and a top speed 335 km/h can be hit without a problem.

First registered in 2007 in the Netherlands, it has travelled across many countries before coming back to its ’ home country’. In 2008 and 2009 it was registered in the United Kingdom. During his ownership it was twice maintained in the United Arabic Emirates with Mercedes-Benz. The owner loved to spend time there and transported the car to the UAE to drive there. After that it was once maintained at SLR Mercedes Benz in the United Kingdom. In 2016 the car was imported back into Germany and registered to the second owner. After that the car is bought and brought to the Netherlands. The car has German papers and only drove 400KM since the ownership.
