Introducing this left-hand-drive 1961 Daimler SP250 ”Dart” Convertible, finished in a timeless cream exterior over a black interior. Equipped with a 2.5-liter Edward Turner-designed Hemi V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine is equipped with dual SU carburetors, while the driver is greeted by Smiths and Lucas instrumentation, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and traditional toggle switches that reflect the straightforward design of the era.

The exterior showcases distinctive styling elements including an oval slatted grille, tail fins, chrome bumpers, chrome trim, a black convertible soft top, 15-inch steel wheels with Daimler hubcaps, and Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Inside, the cabin features low-back front bucket seats, a matching rear bench seat, lap belts, map pockets, a glove compartment, and a driver-side fender-mounted rearview mirror, combining period-correct details with classic British sports car charm.

One of the SP250’s most interesting features is its fiberglass body, an uncommon choice for a British production sports car of the late 1950s. This lightweight construction, combined with its compact V8 engine, gave the SP250 performance that was competitive with many larger and more expensive sports cars of its day.

Fresh out of long-term storage, this early-production Daimler is currently not running and presents an excellent opportunity for collectors or enthusiasts seeking a rare British sports car with documented early-production status and strong potential. Opportunities to acquire one of the first SP250s built are few and far between. For $19,950
