I’m a former award-winning Chicago attorney turned luxury real estate broker, entrepreneur, and media personality, and for more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of calling Costa Rica home.
My journey to Costa Rica began with a decision to step away from a successful legal career and create a life centered around greater freedom, fulfillment, and connection. What started as a personal family adventure ultimately became a professional passion and led me to co-found KRAIN Luxury Real Estate and become co-owner of KRAIN Vacation Rentals.
Today, I have the privilege of helping clients from around the world discover and invest in the extraordinary lifestyle Costa Rica offers. My legal background shaped the way I approach real estate—with discipline, attention to detail, thoughtful negotiation, and a deep respect for the importance of making informed decisions. My experience as an entrepreneur and media personality has added another dimension, allowing me to combine market expertise with a powerful global network and meaningful international exposure.
I have been featured 29 times on HGTV’s House Hunters International, making me one of the program’s most frequently featured Latin American real estate professionals, and have also appeared on Jungle Life and in Fortune. Through KRAIN and my personal platforms, I share insights on Costa Rican real estate, investment, travel, and the art of creating a more intentional life.
While the numbers and recognition are meaningful, what matters most to me is the trust behind every transaction. Whether I’m helping a client find a family retreat, a second home, an investment opportunity, or the perfect property to begin a new chapter, I believe the best real estate relationships are built on listening, transparency, expertise, and genuine care.
Costa Rica is more than the market in which I work—it is home. I feel incredibly fortunate to have built my life and businesses here, and I’m passionate about introducing others to the possibilities this remarkable country offers.
Outside of real estate, I’m deeply committed to the communities we call home. Through the Kaiser Breitlander Memorial Fund and other local initiatives, I support bilingual education, children and families, local athletes, and community-focused causes throughout Costa Rica.
For me, luxury real estate is ultimately about much more than exceptional properties. It is about the freedom to live well, the confidence to make meaningful investments, and the opportunity to build a life that feels truly your own.
