Sant Josep de sa Talaia is the municipality that covers the entire southwest corner of Ibiza, and it consistently draws the most discerning buyers on the island. Its coastline includes some of the Mediterranean’s most photographed coves, among them Cala Tarida, Cala Conta, and Cala Bassa, while the interior rises through pine-covered hills toward the hilltop church village that gives the municipality its name. The area carries a reputation for understated luxury and a more residential character than the busier northeast of the island.

The port of Ibiza Town, around twenty minutes east, provides regular ferry connections to Formentera, Barcelona, Valencia, and Palma de Mallorca.
