Ibiza’s luxury market: The preferred destination for international buyers
Since 2021, Ibiza’s property market has been strong: Covid-19 motivated buyers to invest in houses away from overcrowded so-called “hotspots”.
In 2022, real estate specialists Prestige Properties Ibiza saw nearly 58% of their clients purchasing residences as a second home, around 27% as an investment, and only 15% of sales equated to first-time buyers.
UK clients remain the largest group served by Prestige Properties, followed by Italians, French, and Germans. Together, those four nationalities purchased approximately 60% of the places sold last year. The Dutch, Spanish, and Swiss contingent comprised the second-biggest faction: 27%.
