First built in 1791, Glorious Peleys is the epitome of an Outstanding Sample Architecture of 18th century Pelion. Its first owner was a wealthy Greek tradesman from Alexandria, Egypt, who became the commander of Vyzitsa, and helped in the development of the area, which then, during Ottoman rule, attracted bandits and pirates. ARCHITECTURE

Built in 1791, Restored in 1991 with a Fortress Structure and strong Building Lines. It is characterized by Kastronas, Turret (in the West), Crypt (secret underground passage), Defense space with Loops and many original Medieval features, such as Crucible for boiled oil-water, Hooks, Bars, Loopholes, and a small Turret as an Escape Exit.
