Velleron Mas

Pernes-les-Fontaines is one of the Luberon’s most quietly distinguished addresses, a medieval market town in the Vaucluse whose historic centre is defined by its 40-odd fountains, its Romanesque tower, and its well-preserved ramparts. The town sits at the edge of the Comtat Venaissin plain, with the Dentelles de Montmirail visible to the north and Mont Ventoux anchoring the horizon to the east. It carries the unhurried character of a working Provençal town rather than a tourist destination.

Daily life centres on the Saturday market in the old town. L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, seven kilometres west, offers the region’s most significant antiques trade and a strong restaurant scene. Carpentras, the Vaucluse prefecture, is twelve kilometres north and provides a full range of commercial and medical services.

The Avignon TGV station is approximately 30 kilometres away, placing Paris within three hours by rail. Avignon Centre station adds regional connections throughout Provence. Marseille Provence Airport is roughly 80 kilometres south, accessible in under an hour by car. The A7 motorway provides straightforward access to Lyon to the north and the Mediterranean coast to the south.
