Vallauris occupies a hillside position between Cannes and Antibes, with the bay of Golfe-Juan at its foot and pine-covered slopes rising behind. The town carries a distinct cultural identity rooted in ceramics and studio craft, reinforced by Pablo Picasso’s extended residence here in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
