The ”Anio Novus” (”New Aniene” from which it takes its name), also known as the Aqua Claudia aqueduct, was built by Caligula in 38 AD and completed by Claudius in 52 AD and collected the waters of the entire Aniene valley.

In the paved area in front of the farmhouse it is possible to accommodate an additional 300 seats. The peculiarity of the vast outdoor space surrounding the property is the presence of a bio-natural swimming lake, whose water is pure without the use of chemical agents as it is naturally fed by the water of an ancient Etruscan spring, whose replacement occurs naturally through a phytodepuration system and the flow of excess water towards a tributary of the Aniene that flows nearby.

Since the lake is perfectly integrated into the natural context of the place, a biodiversity ecosystem has been naturally recreated, characterised by flora and fauna typical of lake areas.

The property is currently ready to be used as a location for large events, also considering the current intended use (D/10) and given the large size of the internal and external spaces, but at the same time it can easily be restored to its residential use in order to be used as a high-level residence.
