Théoule-sur-Mer occupies a privileged position on the western edge of the Esterel Massif, where the deep red porphyry cliffs of the Corniche de l’Esterel meet the Mediterranean. The town sits within a protected natural reserve, which has kept development deliberately limited and the coastline largely intact. Its small port, the Pointe de l’Aiguille headland, and direct views toward the Lérins Islands give it a geographic distinction that separates it clearly from the more built-up resorts to the east.
Daily life centres on the port area and the small market held in the village. The restaurant Le Théoulier and several waterfront cafés serve the local community year-round. Cannes, with its full range of dining, retail, and cultural infrastructure including the Marché Forville and the Palais des Festivals, is approximately 15 kilometres east along the coast.
Cannes train station is roughly 20 minutes by car and provides direct TGV connections to Paris in approximately five and a half hours. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is around 45 kilometres east, typically 40 to 50 minutes by road depending on traffic, and serves a wide network of European and international routes. The A8 motorway is accessible via Mandelieu-la-Napoule, placing Monaco within an hour’s drive.
