Villa Frankenburg was built by Prince Carl of Bavaria under the direction of architect Michael Tölzer.

Originally planned by Prince Carl of Bavaria for his second wife, Henriette, and completed in 1866, the historic property was extensively restored several years ago and returned to its original condition. Elaborate paintings, stucco work, and frescoes were reconstructed based on historical records and executed in accordance with the strict guidelines of the historic preservation authorities.

Villa Frankenburg comprises approximately 20 rooms with a living area of about 775 m² and is situated on a park-like property spanning approximately 3,764 m², offering a stately and unique view of Lake Tegernsee.
