Single Family Residence In Staten Island

Some properties offer a home. 1 Romer Road offers the opportunity to carry a legacy forward. Set high on over 1.5 acres of prime Todt Hill real estate, this grand estate captures sweeping views of Lower New York Bay and the enduring character of Staten Island’s storied hillside residences. Dating to the early twentieth century, it evokes an era of gracious living, expansive grounds, and architectural distinction. With more than 16,000 square feet of interior space, the sprawling residence offers an extensive collection of rooms, an indoor pool and entertaining area, and elevator service across three levels. Its scale and old-world character create an extraordinary canvas for a thoughtful restoration—an opportunity to preserve its history while introducing a new vision for modern living. For those looking to reimagine the property, the substantial grounds invite an equally ambitious future, including the potential for a family compound with up to four separate single-family residences, subject to zoning, subdivision, and all required approvals. Whether restored as a singular grand estate or transformed for generations to come, 1 Romer Road presents a rare opportunity to create a lasting legacy in one of Staten Island’s most distinguished settings.
