Es Llombards is a small, quiet village in the municipality of Santanyí, in the southeastern corner of Mallorca, an area widely regarded as the most unspoiled and architecturally coherent part of the island. The surrounding landscape is defined by dry-stone walls, almond groves, and traditional Mallorcan finca architecture built from the local golden sandstone. The coastline within minutes of the village includes some of the most protected and least commercialised coves on the island.
Cala Llombards and Cala s’Almunia are both within a short drive, offering sheltered swimming with minimal tourist infrastructure. The market town of Santanyí, roughly five kilometres away, has a well-regarded weekly market, the restaurant Es Molí d’en Bou, and a range of independent shops and cafés for daily needs.
Santanyí town is approximately five kilometres north and serves as the main service hub for the area. Palma, the island capital, is around 60 kilometres away via the Ma-19 motorway, a journey of roughly 50 to 55 minutes by car. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 55 kilometres from es Llombards, reachable in under an hour, with direct connections to most major European cities year-round and significantly expanded routes during the summer season.
