La Alcaidesa is a gated residential enclave on the Costa del Sol’s southwestern edge, positioned between Sotogrande and the Bay of Gibraltar. Set on elevated terrain above the coastline, it offers unobstructed views across the Mediterranean to the Moroccan Rif mountains and the Rock of Gibraltar. The urbanization is known for its low-density development, private security, and a quieter character that distinguishes it clearly from the more commercialised resorts further east along the coast.

Within the urbanization, residents have direct access to two golf courses, including the links-style Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort. The beach is a short drive down to the coast. Sotogrande, with its marina, polo facilities, and restaurants such as El Copo in Puerto de la Atunara, is under ten minutes by car. A supermarket, pharmacy, and beach bars are available within the enclave itself.

The A-7 and AP-7 motorways connect La Alcaidesa to Marbella in under an hour and to Malaga in approximately 90 minutes. Gibraltar Airport is roughly 10 kilometres away, offering direct flights to London and other UK cities. Malaga Airport, the region’s main international hub with connections across Europe and beyond, is approximately 100 kilometres to the northeast, around one hour by car.
