Son Vida is Palma’s most established private residential enclave, occupying a hillside position roughly four kilometres northwest of the city centre. Developed from the 1960s around a medieval castle that now operates as a five-star hotel, the urbanization is defined by large plots, mature pine and olive landscaping, and a consistent architectural standard that has attracted a discreet international ownership base for decades. The combination of elevation, privacy, and proximity to Palma places it in a category of its own on the island.

The Arabella Golf Son Vida course runs directly through the urbanization, with two further courses nearby. The Castillo Hotel Son Vida provides a restaurant and spa accessible to residents. Palma’s old town, with its cathedral, Passeig del Born dining, and Santa Catalina market, is a ten-minute drive. The nearest beach, Cala Major, is approximately eight kilometres away.

Son Vida sits roughly four kilometres from central Palma, reachable in under ten minutes by car via the Ma-1040. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately fifteen kilometres from the urbanization, typically a twenty-minute drive, and operates year-round international routes connecting to most major European cities, with direct services to London, Frankfurt, Zurich, and beyond. There is no rail or metro connection; private car or taxi is the standard means of transport.
