Rustic Charm In An Idyllic Setting: Property In Need Of Reform In Sóller

Sóller occupies a broad valley in the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountain range that runs along Mallorca’s northwest coast and carries UNESCO World Heritage status as a cultural landscape. The town has a distinct character shaped by its relative isolation: historically accessed only by sea or mountain pass, it developed a self-contained identity, with a handsome central square, Plaça de la Constitució, a Modernista bank facade, and stone architecture that has changed little in a century.

Daily life centres on the Plaça de la Constitució, where the market runs on Saturdays and cafés such as Café Paris serve the local community year-round. The port, Port de Sóller, is a ten-minute tram ride away and offers restaurants including Béns d’Avall, one of Mallorca’s most respected dining addresses. The organic market at Sóller is well regarded across the island.

Sóller connects to Palma via the historic narrow-gauge railway, a journey of approximately one hour to Palma’s Estació Intermodal, from which the city centre and main bus network are directly accessible. By road, the tunnel through the Tramuntana reduces the drive to Palma to around 30 minutes. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres from Sóller, roughly 40 minutes by car, and operates direct routes to most major European cities.
