The history of this small hamlet dates back to the 1200s when the chapel of ”Santa Maria delle Grazie” was built on top of this hill, where the faithful went to Sunday mass and from which there is a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and the historic centres of Sinalunga, Cortona and Lucignano. Over the centuries, the manor house, completed in the late 1700s, and the outbuildings, used as farmers’ lodgings, stables and cellars, were built.
