Sencelles Town House

Sencelles is a small, largely unspoiled municipality in the agricultural heartland of central Mallorca, sitting at roughly 200 metres above sea level on the Raiguer plain. The village retains the character of a working Mallorcan town, with stone-built houses, a parish church dating to the 13th century, and a pace of life that has changed little over generations. It sits well clear of the coastal tourist belt, making it a genuine base for buyers who want authentic island life without the summer congestion of the coast.

The weekly market in Sencelles covers local produce, and the nearby towns of Inca and Binissalem, both within 10 to 15 minutes by car, offer a wider range of restaurants, wine bars, and the Binissalem DO wine region. Palma’s dining and cultural scene, including the Mercat de l’Olivar and the restaurants of Santa Catalina, is approximately 25 minutes by car.

Sencelles sits roughly 25 kilometres northeast of Palma, the island’s capital and main transport hub. The drive to Palma city centre takes around 25 minutes via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car and operates year-round international routes to most major European cities, with direct connections to London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Zurich, among others. There is no rail connection to Sencelles directly, but Inca station on the Palma to Sa Pobla line is around 10 minutes away.
